Forget scrolling through Spotify for an afternoon - this is a proper treasure hunt for music lovers. Expect vinyl, music memorabilia, instruments and equipment, plus the chance of finding that forgotten favourite or record you’ve been hunting for. And even if you don’t buy anything, there’s something rather nice about having a good old rummage through the crates.

Fancy a Sunday with a difference?

Fleetwood’s Donkey Derby is back for its second year, with local businesses and organisations racing to be first past the post. There’ll also be fairground rides, live entertainment, crafts, activities and food vendors - so it’s more than just the racing.

There are newer bakeries popping up all over the Fylde, but some places don’t need reinventing. Lainés has been serving Blackpool from its Church Street shop since 1984, and it’s become something of a local institution. Think proper pies, fresh barm cakes, sausage rolls and cakes - the sort of bakery that people have been going back to for years.

Fancy being at one with nature?

Forget walking for the sake of getting somewhere. This is a 2 ½ -hour guided experience in the woodland at Lytham Hall, using gentle, mindful activities to slow things down and reconnect with nature. And yes, despite the name, there’s no actual bathing involved.

Fancy ending Saturday with a bang?

Three former champions are competing in this year’s championship, and on Saturday it’s South Africa’s Fireworks for Africa taking over the sky above Blackpool Tower. The display is choreographed to music and, best of all, you don’t need a ticket - it’s completely free.
